Painted and Designed by Sarasota, Florida native and artist Steven Shepard who graduated from Ringling School of Arts - Digitally printed with 12 color Giclee inks, this 5 panel window covering is a one of a kind unique piece of functional art.
Printed on UV resistant Vinyl Panels, they let light through, illuminating the design while maintaining privacy. (See in one photo that the panels are slided inward to show that it is night outside, and the photo next to it with light eminating through on a sunny day, yet you can tell that there is still privacy) The panels can be split and aligned to be open in a variety of ways. The artwork is designed to look perfect in any split configuration., yet when aligned and set apart create a stunning work of art mural sized in your living room, bedroom, or office.
This fits a modern or classical home or office design that may have an Asian themed, Ikea modern style, Tommy Bahama style design, Feng Shui, Bamboo or Tropical themed designs. This is an ideal decorative or privacy solution for any Healing Center, Meditation Center, Yoga Studio, Massage Clinic, Buddhist Retreat, Asian Themed home or church. Painting contains Bamboo forest at edges, Red Crowned Cranes at center with Sunset/Sunrise behind them and a couple of birds in the forest branches. Painting style is done as a watercolor look and is simply stunning and original.
This installation is designed to perfectly cover a typical sliding glass door window up to 12 feet wide.
Panels can be removed for a more narrow window or sliding glass door Or the five panels can be more overlapped with emphasis on your favorite panels being shown. From floor to top of track is just over 7 feet.
This installation utilizes the ingenious track system made by IKEA that allows the 3 track mount to elegantly hold and distribute these panels on a sliding rail system that becomes nearly invisible because of it's sleek European design and minimalist look. The Wall Mounted Track System is Not included, but can easily be purchased from Ikea or sometimes eBay. Ikea's current system VIDGA is compatible with these panels, although the photos show the former system known as the KVARTAL which may still be at Ikea stores but we currently do not see it online at the Ikea website.
What is included:
- Five 2x7 Art-Printed Panels
- Panel curtain holders at the bottom and top of each panel: these hold each smoothly weighting the curtain to hang flat, and are also at the top of each panel to be attached to the wall mounted track system that you need to purchase unless you already have one.
- Sliding Handle
We have this set of panels already created and printed as shown in the photos. It was our floor model to show to our design clients and thus has been gently used and is for sale for $1000.
